For most people, a bumpy, muddy, rocky road would be a driving nightmare. But for some, the rougher the road the better. In fact, for a group of adventurers known as off-roaders, no road is best of all.

Off-roading is a term used to describe driving on unpaved ground. This surface can be almost anything other than typical smooth pavement, including fields, riverbeds, muddy bogs, sand dunes, beaches, mountainsides, gravel, boulders and even roads that have fallen into disrepair. If it's not paved (or paved well), it's fair game for off-roaders.
Some off-roaders enjoy the natural scenery, while others love the technical challenge that driving on unpaved ground presents. Whatever type of off-roading you're into, it can be a great pastime as long as you know what you're doing.

The natural terrain is uneven and can be unpredictable, so it's important that you have the proper equipment for off-road driving. While technically you can go off-roading in any vehicle, trucks, SUVs and other high-riding vehicles are best suited to handle the bumps and bruises found off the beaten path. You might also want to use four-wheelers,more light bar dirt bikes, dune buggies or all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and others car accessories, which are specially designed for off-road driving. If you're taking up off-roading as a hobby, a low-riding compact car probably isn't going to cut it.

Depending on what type of off-roading you're into, the type of vehicle -- and vehicle modifications -- you will need can vary. For instance, the same tires you use to drive over steep sand dunes probably aren't going to be great for traversing boulders.
One of the best things about off-roading is that you get to adopt a new vocabulary. For example, are you into mudding, rock crawling, dune bashing or green laning? Do you know the break-over angle on your car? Do you know how to pick a good line?

what is LED ?

LED stands for "light emitting diode." A diode is an electrical component with two terminals which conduct the electricity only in one direction. With an electrical current, the diode emits a bright light around the small bulb. Typically, diodes have been used in many technologies such as radios, televisions and computers as an electrical component for conduction.

Connecting a diode to an electrical current excites the electrons within the diode, making them release photons, which we see as light. The color of the light is a direct result of the energy gap in the semiconductor of the diode. This means that LEDs produce a spectrum of colors easily and brightly while using very little electricity to do so. 

In the search for energy-efficient lighting, LEDs have proven to be the most efficient bulbs available. Energy Star--rated LEDs use at least 75 percent less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs and last 25 times longer, according to the U.S. Department of Energy. LEDs even outdo CFL (compact fluorescent lighting) bulbs in efficiency, primarily because they have twice the lifespan of CFLs. LEDs are more efficient than both incandescents and CFLs because they emit light in a targeted direction --- instead of scattering it in all directions --- and they don't require or emit great amounts of heat. Incandescents and CFLs release most of their energy as heat --- 90 percent and 80 percent, respectively. 

The biggest problem for consumers when purchasing LEDs for residential lighting is the upfront cost. Depending upon the size and brand of the bulb, LEDs can cost two to six times the price of CFLs. When replacing bulbs for multiple lighting fixtures, the idea of spending hundreds of dollars on bulbs deters many potential customers. However, LED production is not only improving but increasing, which will mean greater affordability for consumers in the near future.

These terms describe the type of light disbursement. As in how, wide of a beam you have coming out of your light. For a Spot beam, the light is tight and focused. For a Flood, the light is broad and covers a larger area but does not project as far. The Combo light is a mixture of both Spot and Flood lights that gives you the best qualities of each. With a Combo you’re able to toggle between the two styles or use them both at once.

There is a lot of variety in LED design. In some cases, the LED itself will define the type of beam disbursement. In other cases, it’s the housing that creates the type of beam that you get. Each light is a little different but the qualities of the beam type are the same.
